Why Advisory
The decisions that shape a dental business the most are the ones you make least often.
You may be considering an acquisition, a leadership change, a new business model, or a sale. These decisions affect your people, your finances, and what comes next.
I bring clinical and operational experience from practice ownership and DSO leadership. Working alongside your existing advisors, I help you evaluate the options, understand the tradeoffs, and decide how to proceed.
Who I advise
The work is shaped around your organization and the decisions you’re facing.
Practice owners and multi-location groups
Production is growing, but profit isn’t.
Your team performs differently when you’re not there.
You’ve received an offer and need help evaluating it.
DSOs and emerging groups
Your leadership team needs an experienced clinical perspective.
You’re struggling to recruit and retain dentists.
New acquisitions aren’t integrating as expected.
Investors and private equity firms
You need an independent clinical read before investing in a dental business.
Clinical performance isn’t meeting expectations.
You want to understand doctor retention risks before committing.
Dental companies, manufacturers, and labs
You need feedback on how your offering fits into dental practices.
You’re evaluating a launch, partnership, or market approach.
You want an experienced clinician on your advisory board.
How we work together
We’ll choose the format around the decision, the work involved, and the support you need.
One defined question
Focused Engagement
A focused review of a specific decision. We work through it together, virtually or on site, and then I take it away. You receive written findings after I’ve had time to think it through properly, not an answer improvised in the meeting.
Continuing support
Ongoing Advisory
Scheduled conversations with you and your leadership team provide recommendations and decision support over time. You retain responsibility for running the business.
Organizational leadership
Board and Fractional Leadership
Board advisory provides oversight and counsel without day-to-day operating responsibility.
Fractional chief dental officer work carries defined executive responsibilities within your organization.
Project-based work
Company and Investor Advisory
Project-based support for companies and investors, including clinical due diligence, product feedback, market entry, and industry education.

Experience behind the advice.
I built and sold my own practice group and served as VP of Clinical Services for a 250-practice DSO.
My background also includes national dental education and live-patient clinical instruction. That work informs how I evaluate decisions that affect clinicians, teams, and the businesses they work in.
I’ve also experienced how much is at stake. I lost $15 million in equity on a 45-second recorded call. That’s why I take the time to work through a decision carefully and tell you what I think, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Questions about working together
You work directly with me on your organization’s decisions. I bring clinical and operational perspective alongside your existing advisors. Legal and accounting advice remain with your attorney and CPA. I disclose relevant company relationships before we begin.
How is Advisory different from the Foundation Dental Mastermind?
The Foundation Dental Mastermind combines shared learning, implementation, and accountability with faculty and peers. Advisory focuses on your organization and its specific decisions. We can discuss which fits your needs.
What follows a focused engagement?
We work through the decision together, virtually or on site. Afterward, I review the material independently and prepare written findings. We agree on the scope and delivery timing before the work begins.
Do we need to meet in person?
No. We can work virtually wherever you’re based. On-site meetings are available when spending time with you and your team would help.
How are fees determined?
Fees depend on the scope and format. You’ll receive a written proposal describing the work and its cost before you commit.
Can you help if I’m considering a sale?
Yes. Advisory can help you evaluate the decision. If you need transaction representation, Foundation Dental Transitions handles that through a separate agreement, with compensation explained before you decide.
Do you sign confidentiality agreements?
Yes. I can review your confidentiality agreement or provide one. We agree on the terms before sharing sensitive material.

Tell me what’s in front of you. If advisory is the right fit, I’ll explain what working together would look like, and if it isn’t, I’ll say so.
