Luxury Dental Retreats
deliver perspective.
Perspective rarely comes from another lecture. It comes from the conversations that happen after the formal sessions end. At dinner. During shared experiences. In smaller settings where dentists finally have enough separation from daily operations to think clearly again.
Small group. Personally curated by Dr. Jim Arnold. Every application reviewed personally.
I’d encourage you to watch this short introduction first.
In just two minutes, I’ll explain why I created Luxury Dental Retreats, why every retreat is intentionally small, and why the conversations outside the classroom often become the most valuable part of the entire experience.
If that philosophy resonates with you, there’s a good chance you’ll feel at home here.
Two minutes now may completely change what you’re looking for.
You came home with a notebook, a few business cards, and the same challenges you left with.
Not because the speakers weren’t good.
Because the structure itself rarely creates the conditions for real conversation.
Five hundred people in a ballroom don’t usually speak honestly. They perform. They network. They collect slides they’ll never open again.
Meanwhile the discussions that actually change people happen afterward. At dinner. Late at night. During shared experiences with people who understand the pressure you’re under because they’re under it too.
That’s the part most conferences were never designed around.
Luxury Dental Retreats were.

The faculty matters.
The destination matters.
But neither is the product.
The conversations are.
The relationships are.
The perspective is.
The real value comes from five days together in an environment designed to slow people down enough to think differently, relate differently, and speak more honestly than they usually do at home.
The destination creates the conditions.
The people create the transformation.
Why I Built This
I’ve been in dentistry for more than 30 years.
I’ve built practices. I’ve led teams. I’ve experienced meaningful success. And I’ve also lived through some difficult chapters that changed how I think about business, leadership, and life.
The moments that changed my life most were never the ones that happened on conference stages.
They happened afterward. At dinner. Late at night. In smaller groups with people who understood what I was going through because they were going through it too.
I’ve also been what I jokingly call a travel snob for most of my adult life.
I’ve spent years taking my family to extraordinary places all over the world, and I learned something important along the way:

The environment changes people.
The right environment changes the quality of time together. It changes perspective. It changes openness. It changes relationships. And eventually it changes decisions.
That realization became Luxury Dental Retreats. Not as a business idea. As something I personally wished existed years earlier in my own life.
Every element of this retreat is intentional. The mornings. The evenings. The experiences in between. Nothing is filler.
Experience One
These are not lectures. They are faculty-led discussions with dentists who have built, scaled, and navigated the same challenges you face.
You’ll get practical frameworks, real-world insights, and honest answers to the questions that matter most.
Small group by design. Facilitated by experience. Focused on what you can apply when you get home.
Leave each morning with perspective.
Return with momentum.

The best ideas rarely come alone. That’s why we create space for shared meals, unforgettable moments, and conversations that go deeper.
Step away from the day-to-day.
Invest in what matters most.
From long dinners and coastal sunsets to private yacht outings and exploring the charming streets of Oia, these moments spark connection, inspiration, and perspective.
Share your journey with dentists who understand the path you’re on. Because who you build it with matters.
Unforgettable moments.
Relationships that last.
True transformation happens when you step away from the day-to-day and give yourself space to think, reflect, and breathe.
Rest & Reflect
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
This is your time to refill.
Whether it’s a quiet morning with a view, an afternoon exploring, or simply doing nothing at all - this time is intentionally built in for you.
Return home with fresh perspective, renewed energy, and the clarity to lead your practice and your life with even greater purpose.
Rest deeply.
Return ready.

Different destinations. Different attendees. The same outcome. They’re dentists who chose to invest in themselves and wanted to share what the experience meant to them afterward.

These aren’t speakers delivering presentations before disappearing into the crowd. They’re accomplished dentists, entrepreneurs, and leaders who’ll spend five days learning, dining, exploring, and having honest conversations alongside a small group of colleagues.
Every discussion is designed around practical experience, thoughtful questions, and the challenges successful dentists are actually facing today.

Dr. Jim Arnold has spent more than 30 years in dentistry as a practice owner, executive, entrepreneur, educator, and consultant. He’s built successful practices, led organizations, navigated extraordinary success, and rebuilt after significant setbacks that fundamentally changed how he thinks about business, leadership, and life.
In Santorini, Dr. Arnold leads the conversations that rarely happen at traditional conferences. Practice growth. Leadership. Insurance independence. Building a business that creates freedom instead of consuming it. The discussions are candid, practical, and shaped by the questions experienced dentists are actually asking, not the ones usually presented from a stage.
Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn’t learning something new. It’s finally having the time and the right people around you to think differently.

Dr. Arun Garg has trained more than 20,000 dentists, authored more than twenty textbooks, and built successful businesses across dentistry, education, hospitality, and real estate. His career is proof that extraordinary clinical success and entrepreneurial success don’t have to be separate pursuits.
In Santorini, Dr. Garg won’t simply teach implants. He’ll lead conversations about recognizing opportunity, building assets beyond the operatory, creating additional streams of income, and thinking like an entrepreneur without losing what made you an exceptional clinician. The discussion is practical, candid, and shaped around the questions that matter most to experienced dentists.
Success becomes much more interesting when you have the freedom to define it for yourself.

Dr. Jeff Buske has built one of the most successful fee-for-service practices in the country, producing approximately $4.3 million annually while practicing just three clinical days each week. But what makes him valuable in this environment isn’t the number. It’s what that number represents.
In Santorini, Dr. Buske leads honest conversations about designing a practice that creates both financial success and personal freedom. Leadership. Relationships. Burnout. Family. Purpose. The hidden costs of achievement. His perspective challenges the belief that dentists must sacrifice everything else to build an exceptional career.
The goal isn’t simply to build a better practice. It’s to build a better life.

Elijah Desmond has spent his career helping dentists think differently about growth, business strategy, and the long-term value of what they’re building. His perspective comes from working alongside practice owners across every stage of growth while continually challenging conventional thinking about what creates lasting success.
In Santorini, Elijah leads conversations about seeing opportunities others overlook, asking better questions, and making strategic decisions before circumstances force them upon you. His sessions focus on helping dentists think more clearly about growth, value creation, leadership, and the decisions that shape both their practices and their futures.
Better decisions rarely come from having more information. They come from seeing familiar problems through a different lens.
Different backgrounds. Different perspectives.
One shared commitment.
Helping accomplished dentists build exceptional practices and extraordinary lives.

Exclusive destinations. Faculty-led education. Relationships that continue long after we return home.

August 2025
Ritz-Carlton Dubai, UAE
Five days of faculty-led discussions, exceptional dinners, a private yacht, and conversations that continued long after the day’s sessions ended.
The mornings brought clarity. The afternoons created perspective. The evenings built relationships that still exist today.

February 2025
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Four days in a private luxury villa with personal chefs, faculty-led education, and the kind of conversations that rarely happen in traditional conference settings.
People slowed down, opened up, and built friendships that extended well beyond the retreat itself.
The destination creates the conditions.
The time together creates the impact.
The CE is real, accredited, and intentionally integrated throughout the retreat. The retreat was never designed so the education feels isolated from everything else happening around it.
Mornings are built around faculty-led conversations. Afternoons are open for shared experiences and exploring. Evenings are long dinners where the best discussions tend to happen. The structure is intentional, not accidental.
Dentists from different stages of their careers and production levels or years in practice. What brings them together is curiosity, openness, and a genuine desire for more honest discussion and better decisions.
Dr. Jim Arnold personally visits every retreat destination before inviting attendees. Five-star accommodations are confirmed before any invitations are made, and final details are shared with accepted applicants.
You’ll speak directly with Dr. Jim Arnold or someone from the Foundation Dental Alliance team. Not a sales presentation. Not a pressure conversation. Just an honest discussion about whether this retreat feels aligned for where you are right now.
It’s five days that can change how you lead, how you practice, and the future you build.
